Professional Profile

Jade is a pupil barrister at Rose Court Chambers, developing a practice across criminal law. She brings valuable experience from criminal defence, having previously worked at a Band 1 criminal defence firm as a police station accredited representative.

In that role, Jade advised and represented individuals detained at the police station and gained experience across a broad range of criminal matters, including grievous bodily harm, attempted murder, possession of offensive weapons, youth offending, robbery and serious sexual offences.

Jade also assisted a partner with the preparation of complex and serious cases, including EncroChat litigation, sexual offences, Proceeds of Crime Act proceedings, drug importation and money laundering. This involved reviewing substantial volumes of evidence, identifying key issues and working closely with solicitors and counsel throughout the preparation of cases. The experience has given Jade a strong practical understanding of the demands of serious criminal litigation and the importance of clear communication and careful preparation.

Jade obtained a First-Class BA (Hons) in History from the University of Nottingham, where she developed a particular interest in criminal justice and penal reform. She subsequently completed the Postgraduate Diploma in Law (PGDL) and Bar Vocational Studies at City, University of London.

Alongside her studies, Jade has developed a strong interest in access to justice and community-based legal work. She volunteered at a legal clinic and as a McKenzie Friend at the East London Family Court, and participated in StreetLaw workshops at HMP Brixton focused on rehabilitation and wellbeing.

Jade has also developed a wider interest in criminal justice issues, including domestic abuse, homicide and private prosecutions. Through Lincoln’s Inn, she visited the International Criminal Court in The Hague and observed proceedings concerning alleged war crimes, providing valuable insight into international criminal justice.

She has also been involved with Bridging the Bar, supporting its work to widen access to the profession and encourage greater opportunity within the legal sector.

Jade is developing a broad criminal practice, with an interest in both general and serious crime and experience of working on matters for both prosecution and defence. She is also keen to develop her practice in the Youth Court.

Her previous experience in criminal defence, particularly her exposure to complex and serious cases, provides a strong foundation for her developing practice. Jade is committed to thorough preparation, clear communication and building effective relationships with both professional and lay clients.

Outside the law, Jade supports charitable work benefiting children living with Perthes’ disease. She also enjoys hot yoga and is a keen salsa dancer.
